Recognize the Corona Virus experience from the Patient of Corona Virus

Coronavirus is a group of related viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans, the corona virus causes mild respiratory infections, such as some cases of the common cold (among other causes, especially rhinoviruses), and others that can be deadly, such as SARS, MERS, and COVID-19. Symptoms in other species vary: in chickens, they cause upper respiratory tract disease, whereas in cows and pigs they cause diarrhea. There is no vaccine or antiviral drug to prevent or treat human coronavirus infections.

Connor Reed appeared to the public by bringing his story as a survivor of the corona virus. The young British man was a worker at a school in the city of Wuhan, China, which was the source of the emergence of the corona virus.

The 25-year-old man contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus while there. Reed became the first British citizen at the time tested positive for COVID-19, a disease caused by the new corona virus.

The heartbreaking event began when Reed began to feel there was a problem with his health condition on November 25, 2019 ago.

"I caught a cold and started to get worse when this virus gradually developed. It all started with the flu, "he recalls, as quoted by Sky.

There was no suspicion in his mind at that time. Reed considered himself just having a common cold. In the midst of these conditions, Reed forced himself to continue working.

He admitted, at that time his condition was quite stable. But when the cold weather struck, his health condition actually worsened.

"I woke up with a bad condition. I coughed and finally lost my voice," he added. "One of my friends in Ireland said that hot whiskey and honey really helped overcome my symptoms. Honestly, it was very helpful. But I began to think that it was impossible for whiskey and honey to cure the virus. "

Reed decided to take a break from his work for a while in early December. Reed, who at that time also had a fever, did not want to transmit his illness to a colleague at the office.

He claimed at that time the local government had not yet announced that the virus that emerged in Wuhan caused a new disease that had become a worldwide epidemic.

"I feel tortured," said Reed, "I just want to curl up like a ball and I have ear problems and sinus problems, it feels like a balloon has exploded on my face. And that could be the worst symptom. It really bothered me," He said. "I also suffered a cough. It was terrible. And it happened so many times, I lost my voice. Sometimes, I couldn't make a sound at all. Sometimes, I sound like a frog."

Reed's suffering did not stop there. When his condition improved because his cold had healed, Reed was determined to return to work in the hope that he would really recover in the near future. But there was fear in his heart.

"What makes me scared because breathing is the necessity of life, like if you catch a cold, you really feel like you're going to die, but that doesn't happen. But when your lungs are affected, that's where I feel afraid. And I can't breathe with freely, the breath I take sounds like I'm breathing through a bag. It sounds hoarse, and I can only take half a breath. If I walk into the kitchen, for example, I will breathe very short and very fast. "

Reed around this by drinking lots of warm water. But the results are nil. Because his condition was never improving, he decided to go to the hospital the next day.

He underwent a series of examinations on December 5, 2019. Starting from blood tests, X-rays to respiratory tests. The next day, or two weeks after several clinical symptoms appeared, Reed found that he was diagnosed with pneumonia.

"I did not think that I would die. That is, it would not have happened to me who was young. Moreover, I do not smoke. I also do not drink. That habit should not make me suffer from illnesses suffered by parents or whether I have a problem pre-existing health. "

After going through these difficult times, Reed was fortunate, he was one of the patients who was declared recovered after several weeks undergoing treatment due to positively contracting the corona virus that causes COVID-19 disease.

He remembered very well, at that time Wuhan was still isolated. A notification entered his cellphone at 3am, when the government issued an order that the city be quarantined.

"Luckily, I woke up to read the text message. So, I ran out of the house and went to the supermarket which is open 24 hours downstairs. I know things will get worse and I know that shops will be raided," he said.

"As more and more new cases emerge and begin to spread, the government imposes tougher sanctions and tighter quarantines. For example, at this time, one person is allowed to leave their home once every three days, and that is only to buy necessities."

Reed recounts when he went off the street it looked lonely as if there was no life there. "If you go to a store, there are several shops that open but don't allow buyers to enter. You just have to tell the seller what you want. They put it in a bag and then they hand it to you with a long stick just to avoid personal contact."

He praised the local government for taking proactive steps to tackle this deadly plague. According to Reed, the government is very experienced in dealing with crises with mirrors from previous outbreaks such as SARS. He also believes the number of infected victims released by the government is accurate.

"There are not many Western countries that can build hospitals in 10 days. China is one of the most efficient countries in completing work. In connection with this epidemic, they have resolved it. They should have acted that way. They should take drastic steps, that many other countries Will not do the same thing," concluded Reed

Corona virus does take lives in several countries in the world, but there are not a few patients who are declared cured. Prevents corona virus transmission and infection can be done from yourself. by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, reduce personal contact, and always maintain personal hygiene
